Our annual picnic will be held August 15th  at Kay Scheller’s Bed & Breakfast “The Hogland House” in Mukilteo. The picnic will start at 2:30 pm and last until we head over to the dance.

Potluck! Bring you favorite side dish.

Door Prizes!

Chocolate Contest! Bring that special chocolate desert. The rules are simple – your dessert must be homemade and it must contain chocolate. After the contest we all get to enjoy!

Dance & Competition! After the picnic our dance will be held at Dorothy Jayne Dance Studio in Everett. The dance is from 5 pm to 9 pm with DJ Robb Bryan. There will be an Intermediate J&J and an Open Jackpot Competition.  This is a free for members event! The cost for non-members is $11.

Workshops
Instructor(s): Ari Levi
Together, Ari & Shannon bring over 30 years of combined expertise to this dance form.  With their fun, energetic teaching style, and great attention given to lead/follow techniques and styling, they are fun dancers to watch, and even more fun to learn from!
When: 2:45 and 4:00
Cost: $19.00 for members and $25.00 non-members (includes entry into the dance)
Workshop Descriptions: Two intermediate-level workshops with Ari Levitt and dance partner Shannon Knauss (comfort with a 6-count basic sugar push and an 8-count basic whip turn is recommended)


Workshop 1: Crazy fun with the ’sailors shuffle’
Workshop 2:  New variations on the right-to-right

In their first class, Ari & Shannon will review the basic ’sailors shuffle’ and then introduce a variety of new variations and stylngs to kick these patterns into high gear.

Their second class will introduce on several unique patterns you can apply to a “right to right” hand hold, using variations from both six and eight-count WCS.
Free Beginner Workshop 4:00 with instructor Roberto Villamarin. This lesson is free with paid admission to the dance.
