Seattle Swing Dance Club is a 501(c)(3)

Q: What is a 501(c)(3)?

A: Organizations described in section 501(c)(3) are commonly referred to as charitable organizations. Organizations described in section 501(c)(3) are eligible to receive tax-deductible contributions in accordance with Code section 170.

Your donation will help Seattle Swing Dance Club, your local nonprofit West Coast Swing organization! Your generosity enables us to continue the bimonthly workshops and dances at Alki and other locations, outreach programs like free beginner classes, and events like Ticket Tournament and Easter Swing. Thank you for your support!

Employer Donation Match Programs

What are donation match programs?

As part of corporate philanthropy programs, companies of all sizes will match donations that their employees make to charitable organizations such as Seattle Swing Dance Club. When an employee makes a donation, they request a match from their employer, who then makes a donation to SSDC as well!

Companies usually match donations at a 1:1 ratio, but some will match at a 2:1, 3:1, or even a 4:1 ratio.

Why is donation matching important?

Corporate matched donations are important because they are free money for SSDC, who continue to bring quality instructors and special events to the Seattle dance community! Through this program, The Club is able to receive two donations for the work of soliciting one.

How does it work for SSDC?

As a 501c(3), SSDC is eligible to directly benefit when employees donate or volunteer. If you work for the following employers and have donated to us, you are maximizing the impact of your donation, but without having to reach back into your wallet to do so. Please follow your employer link to submit your donation match request to support SSDC and the greater Seattle dance community. We greatly appreciate your generosity!
